Flowers and Gardens
Loving flowers and gardens was born in me. I have designed and tended many at our home. My travels have always included planned visits to numerous gardens. Dilly Dahlias are from photos I took in Butchart Gardens, Victoria, BC. I painted the Villa Gamberaia collection after my second visit there. It is outside of Florence, Itlay. The group of works, from my first visit, were traditional watercolors. I wanted to try something different with my second batch. These are watercolor monoprints with some collage of papers and textiles, touched with an overlay of traditional transparent watercolor painting.
